Roberta Jean Stalvey, also known as Berta, passed away on January 28, 2024, in Savannah, GA, at the age of 67. She was born on August 17, 1956 in Rome, NY. Roberta was an angel on Earth her whole life who cared and loved those around her unconditionally. Many called her a saint because that’s how she treated them. Her smile would fill the room, hugs would melt your heart, and love of Jesus would break away all darkness. Her faith in Christ was deep, and she brought many to Him through missions, conversations, and simply radiating His presence to all of those around her.
Roberta is survived by her loving husband, Phil Stalvey, her daughter Sarah Cantrell and son-in-law Allen Cantrell, her step-daughter Mary Aden, her step-son Paul Stalvey, her grandchildren Ellie Cantrell and Henry Aden, and her siblings Mary Walker, Therese Marshall, and Mike Klotz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Avon Klotz.
During her career, Roberta worked as a proofreader at RR Donnelley. She was known for her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to her work.
Roberta worshipped at Richmond Hill First Baptist Church, where she found solace and strength in her faith.
In her free time, Roberta enjoyed being on the water and at the beach, planting and gardening, spending time with her two dogs and cat, and indulging in sewing and crafting.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4pm at The Deck on Tybee Island, followed by a sunset ceremony on the back river of Tybee.
Roberta Jean Stalvey will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
