NOVEMBER 2, 1935 – APRIL 11, 2018
Barbara Ann Beecher 82 of Midway, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Hospice Savannah.
Barbara was born in Savannah; she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Jackie (Coleman) Beecher of Garden City.
After retiring from the Chatham County Public Library, Barbara enjoyed traveling, spending time between Blairsville, GA and her home in Midway, nature at its best and her family.
In addition to her parents Barbara is preceded in death by her daughter Carole Johnson Wilson, a brother E. K. (Buck) Beecher, Jr. and a sister Jane Alford.
Survivors include her life partner of 31 years Russell Brown, her daughter Debra Johnson Scott, and her son M. David Johnson (Tina). Five grandchildren; Brian Scott (Andy), Christy Godbee (Michael), Chad Scott (Sheri), Michael Johnson and Ryan Overby and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Rose Kopta of Atlanta and a number of other relatives.

I am sorry to read this news. I worked with Barbara for many years at the library where she was always very dedicated, professional, helpful and just a great person. I will say a prayer for the family knowing that she is loved and will be missed.
