James Lee Jackson, Jr. “Jimmy”, age 78, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah.
Born in Mississippi, he was the son of James Lee Jackson Sr. and Helen Johnson Jackson. He was a veteran of the US Navy and worked for many years as a Virginia State Trooper and as a Commercial Loan Officer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Heath Lee Jackson
Surviving are his wife, Carol Morris Jackson, his daughters, Tracey Jackson Ancona (Mike), Laura Jackson Templeton (James), Kristi Jackson Cochran(Brian), Stephanie Roy (Charles), his son, Todd E. Jackson (Jennifer), eight grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at a later date.

I worked with Jimmy at United Community Bank. He was a wonderful man! Always so lively and full of fun! He will be missed. So sorry for your loss!
Carol, I was so sorry to hear about Jimmy passing. We have lost another good man and friend. He is at peace and in no pain. Hugs and prayers for you and the family.
I knew Jimmy at Baker High School and am very sorry to learn that he has gone to God. He was so much fun and nice, and nobody, absolutely nobody, could match him on the dance floor at sock hops. He had the moves! My prayers are with Jimmy and his family.

So sorry to hear about Jimmy. He was one of the good guys! Enjoyed playing golf with Jimmy, lots of laughs, Super Guy. He will be missed!
