Freddie Lee Whipper

In loving memory of Freddie Lee Whipper, born on May 29, 1964, and departed from this world on December 16, 2023. Freddie received his education in the Chatham County school system, laying the foundation for a life filled with purpose.

Dedicating many years to his work, Freddie served as a longshoreman at the Longshoreman Hall in Savannah, Georgia. His dedication and hard work left an indelible mark on the community he served.

Freddie will be remembered not only for his professional contributions but also, for the warmth and kindness he shared with those around him. His impact will be forever cherished by family, friends, and colleagues.

In this time of sorrow, we celebrate the life of Freddie Lee Whipper, reflecting on the joy he brought to others and the legacy he leaves behind. May he rest in peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Freddie Lee Whipper is preceded in death by his grandmother, Rebecca Chisholm, mother, Ardell Whipper, and uncle, Joe Chisholm. Freddie leaves behind a vast and loving network of family and friends, each touched by his presence.

Among those mourning his departure are his brother, Paul Whipper, and family; special cousin, Nathan Cook; daughter, Kimberly Sanders (William); son, Charles Hunter (Anita); daughter, Tangelette Jones

(David); daughter, Raquel Hayles; daughter, Keinesha Gore; daughter, Monica Gore; daughter, Shanique Gore; son, Javon Gore; daughter, Samantha Brown; daughter, Shamekca Brown; daughter, Tamika Brown; and his long-time girlfriend, Sherwanda Stallworth.

Freddie’s impact extends to a host of cousins, grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends. In this time of grief, may the collective memories of Freddie’s warmth, love, and laughter provide solace and strength. May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort in the enduring legacy he leaves behind.

The funeral service will be held at Families First Funeral Care Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM.

The viewing will be Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Families First Funeral Care.

Sharon Marie Walker

December 26, 2023 - 6 Condolences

Ms. Sharon Marie Walker, age 54, of Savannah, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at decedent’s home under hospice care.

Sharon attended Jenkins High School and Savannah Technical School. Sharon worked at Advance Imaging Solutions, Inc.

Sharon had a wonderful heart, she cared for others before herself. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into her home. Her smile would light up the room. Sharon loved animals, especially her beautiful aquariums, and cared for any stray cats and dogs that came her way. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. Sharon valued and loved her family and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Allen Walker, Mother, Patricia Kempson Walker, Sister, Valerie Gale Walker and Brother, Glen Derick Walker.

Sharon is survived by the Love of Her Life Scott Seymour, Brothers, Charles Allen Walker Jr. (Pam), Travis Walker, Sister Karen Walker Way (Ricky), and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Hospice Savannah for the loving and gentle care they provided to Sharon.

The visitation will be held at Families First Funeral Care, 1328 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, Ga. 31405 on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 1-2PM, followed by celebration of life memorial service at 2 PM.
