Brittany “Tori” Escamilla, 29, of Savannah, GA sadly left us on Saturday, February 17,
2024 following a two year battle with sarcoma cancer. She was surrounded by her
family and loved ones.
She is survived by her wife, Arielly Borges of Savannah, GA; and her three furkids,
Riley (dog), Finley (cat) and Cashew (cat).
Tori was born in El Paso, Texas. She is survived by her paternal grandparents, Luis and
Lucy Escamilla; her father and step-mom, Edgar and Theresa Escamilla of El Paso, TX;
her mother and step-dad, Elisia and Michael Van Scoter of Atlanta, GA; her sisters; her
aunts, uncles and many close friends.
She enlisted in the National Guard as a junior in highschool and went to basic training
the summer before senior year. After high school, she passed the hardest training to
work in Military Intelligence. She served in the military for 6 years, before deciding to
continue her education. She became an accredited welder and graduated with an
associates degree.
Tori had a passion for the arts. Some of her favorite artists included Gego, Van Gough
and Kandinsky.
She joins her maternal Grandparents, Bill “Papa” and Elaine “Mimi” Tapscott and niece,
Emily “Emmy” Canales in the afterlife.
We invite you to make a donation to One Love Animal Rescue in her honor, in place of
sending flowers.
