Nelda Faye Underwood, age 80, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Candler Hospital.
Born in Nashville, she was the daughter of Arthur Knowles, and Lena Knowles. She was a faithful member of New Bethel Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by by her parents, Arthur and Lena Knowles; daughter, Sharon Henderson; brother, Vernon Knowles; and sister, Ivah Mae Hendley.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Underwood; son, Lewis Bradford; daughter, Melissa Garner (Sammy); step-daughters Selah Underwood and Esther Underwood; brothers, Buford Knowles and Troy Knowles; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four step-grandchildren and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at New Bethel Pentecostal Church, 2402 Old Dixie Hwy, Springfield, GA. from 12:00 to 1:00pm with the funeral service to follow. Burial will follow in New Bethel Pentecostal Church Cemetery
In lieu of flowers; donations may be made to Last Day Ministries Prison Outreach, 2402 Old Dixie Hwy, Springfield, GA 31329.
