We all truly loved our Uncle Otis and will miss him dearly. I personally was inspired by his professional success and it pushed me to always do my best. I am certain of Jehovah’s promise of a resurrection, where those sleeping in death will be awakened. (John 5:28 & 29). Oh the stories, we will share with him when we see him again. Praying for you, Auntie as I know the sting his difficult to bear but I am certain your faith will help you endure! Love you so much!

I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Otis Taylor. He was my best friend since 1972 and like a brother to me. He was one of the kindest, thoughtful and considerate people I have ever met. I am truly blessed to have spent time with him this past July. I will truly miss him and cherish the memories forever. Rest in peace my brother 🙏

I had a crush on Unc since I first laid eyes on him when I was in high school. Love auntie Sylvia, but wanted her gone. As I grew up and MATURED, I realized I was just a fool. He loved him some her, and she loved her some him, so I grew to love me some them! T, jeep holding on to Jahs right hand. You will and we all will, see Unc again! The resurrection hope is real! Much love!

Rest in Peace Uncle Otis. You were truly a great man, and someone I looked up to with great reverence. I’ll never forget the weekends going to Bloomington to visit you with your brother (Uncle Jeff) and my cousin Shawn. Family BBQs, staying up late playing video games with CT, and waking up to an amazing breakfast by Auntie Sylvia. Those times were truly the best. You may be gone but you have forever left a mental footnote for me to become the best I can be as a black male. I love you.

Sylvia & Family,
You have my deepest sympathy and prayers. I loved growing up with my cousins on Lincoln and spending days playing, weeding Granny’s garden, eating Aunt Ella’s “Tea Cakes” and just being members of a close-knit family. It felt like we were sisters and brothers rather than cousins. The Taylor men were always special, and there is a special place reserved in heaven and in my heart for Otis. May God’s love sustain you as you go through this difficult time.
