Monday Morning, March 4th 2024, the world lost an amazing wife, mother, grandmother. Tamara “Tammy” Ann Hartz Legette passed peacefully at home.
She was a life long educator and teacher, lover of all children, passionate about music, books, and reading. She enjoyed traveling, holidays, and good beer. She loved her family, the beach, yellow roses, and Savannah. She was stubborn, determined, and loved you like no other. She was a fighter, and proved it in 2013 when she had a massive bilateral stroke and survived. She regularly defied the odds. She was a strong force. The world is dimmer without her here.
She survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Frank Edward “Ed” Legette Jr., her daughters Laura Legette McDonald (husband Kenny) and Erin Legette, grandchildren James Brantley McDonald, Nathan McDonald, and Madelyn McDonald.
Per her request, there will not be a service or a memorial , and she will be cremated. In lew of flowers, please donate to the Old Savannah City Mission or to a meaningful charity or foundation of your choice in her honor.
