Willard Woodhouse (Bill) Haldeman, Jr., 80, of Pooler, GA, retired chief engineer with American President and Lykes Brothers shipping lines, died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA.
Son of the late Willard W. and Frances McFall Haldeman, Mr. Haldeman was born in Pickens, SC, and graduated from Winter Park, FL High School. He received his B.S. degree in 1960 from Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. He served on ships serving ports on both the Atlantic and the Pacific.
He is survived by his wife, Seonah Tina Cha Haldeman; five children, Susan Haldeman and her wife, Sheryl of Clearwater, FL; Jamey Haldeman Willis and her husband Randy of Abilene, TX; Carly Haldeman and her husband, Tommy of Abilene, TX; Hansol Haldeman of Savannah, GA, and Hansuk Haldeman of Savannah, GA; three brothers, Richard Haldeman and his wife, Jan Due West, SC; James Haldeman of Fairhope, AL; and Neil Haldeman and his wife, Ruth of Ann Arbor, MI; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Haldeman.
Families First Funeral Care is assisting the family. A memorial will be held at a later date in July 2019.
