Peggy M. Weeks, of Rincon, joined the angels by getting her wings on Tuesday night, 14 Jan 2020. She had been under the care of Kindred Hospice at Home since October.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Floyd P. Marsden; and also her daughter Candice E. Mitchell.
Peggy is survived by her husband and caregiver, Cal Weeks; two daughters, Cat Cook Dixon (Colin) of Hendersonville, Nevada and Christine Cook McBroom (Rob) of Carmel, Indiana; two sisters, Carole Ann Camp (Charlie) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Nancy Mauro (Peter) of Marshfield, Massachusetts; a brother, Floyd Marsden (Della) of Ft Myers, Florida; four grandsons, one granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.
She was a Registered Nurse at Memorial Medical Center, Georgia Regional Hospital and in Labor and Delivery at Candler Telfair. She became a Charge Nurse and later Nurse Supervisor before retiring. She helped found a singles group a White Bluff United Methodist Church called S.P.I.C.E. After moving to Rincon she joined Rincon United Methodist Church. She was a Talented Artist, Costume Seamstress and enjoyed all types of music.
Special thanks to Dr Paul Bradley, Dr. Mullins, Dr. Borak, Dr. Hegarty and their staffs for taking such good care of Peggy. Special thanks for Teresa, Wendy her nurses and Monica her aid from Kindred Hospice at Home.
Families First Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements. Services will be private and at a later date.
