Jacob Michael Padgett was born on December 23, 2001, in Savannah, GA. Jacob passed at the Memorial Health University Medical Center on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Jacob was proceeded in death by his brothers in heaven Brandon and Anthony.

Jacob will be deeply missed by his mother Tambra White and father Sean (Janice) Padgett; as well as Quinton (Eileen) White and grandparents Richard and Kathy Padgett; siblings, Alyssa, Scott, Destiny, Hailey Allie, Danny, Rylie, Jessica, Brian, and Joseph; aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends as well as his loving girlfriend Kailey Corter.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Consumed Church, 388 Longwood Drive in Richmond Hill. The family will receive friends following the service.

Edna Lee Floyd, 65 passed away surrounded by her family peacefully, on Monday, February 20, 2023.

Edna was born on July 16, 1957, in Savannah, Georgia to her parents Mr. Lester and Beatrice Moore. Edna was educated in Savannah-Chatham County Public School Systems and graduated from Hershel Victor Jenkins High School in 1975. She continued her education at Draughns Junior College, Armstrong State College, and Saint Leo University. Ms. Edna, as she is affectionately called by her co-workers, was a Certified Professional Coder and worked in the medical coding and billing industry for over 40 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her large family; the most favorites included playing cards, singing, and dancing, particularly “shutting the party down with the robot and funky four corners”. Edna was an excellent cook and paid special attention to her children, nieces, and nephews. She instilled class, culture, and fine dining in her family. She taught them etiquette, and the proper way to speak and handle people respectfully.

On any day of the week, Ms. Edna could be seen walking in her high heels with a big smile on her face, and her hair blowing in the wind. She never met a stranger, would give you the shirt off her back, and her heart was made of gold.

Edna is preceded in death by sister Emma Denise Moore and her parents Lester and Beatrice Moore.

Ms. Edna is survived by her husband, Mr. Benjamin Floyd, Jr; her children , Benjamin Floyd ,III, Melissa Phelisha LeCounte ( Dr. John LeCounte), and Lester Marurice Floyd; her siblings Ozzie ( Yvonne) Lawton, Morris ( Valerie) Moore, Larry Moore, Elease Moore, Edith Byrd, and Eilleen ( Dennis) Smith; 6 grandchildren whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and her best good friend of over 40 years, Ms. Beverly C. Brown

A viewing will be held on Friday, 2/24/2023, at 3pm at Families First Funeral Care Chapel, 1328 Dean Forest Rd Savannah GA 31405, and is followed up by a service at 4pm.

Yolanda Garcia, age 75, passed away peacefully February 7, 2023, after a year-long fight with kidney failure. She was born January 18, 1945, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and raised by Juana and Perfecto Escalet. She married her husband Marcelo Gutierrez, in July 1992, they had been married for 31 years.

Yolanda loved and cared for all her family as well as those who she met even for the first time. She loved music, dolls, watching movies, and especially sweets. Yolanda was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She loved her role as a grandmother and great grandmother. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made lasting friends everywhere she went.
For as long as we can remember she was a caring person who never shied away from helping someone in need and was always willing to listen, even to a stranger.

Her life was a living example of bible verse Hebrews 13:16: “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Yolanda is survived by her loving family husband Marcelo Gutierrez; daughters Maria Escalet and Lenore Mercardo; two sons Timothy and Bernardo; granddaughters Avion Santiago, Alexis, Christina, Thalia, Aryanna, Cecely, Hazel, and Vickey; grandsons, Angel, Marquise, Stephen, Marco, Rafael, Jonathan, Irving, Matthew, Alex, Daniel and Joshua; Great-grandchildren, Samantha, Aiden, Isabell, Savannah, Makaveli, Isabella, Saynt, Gabriella, Zara, Ezilah, Royal, Daniel, Joshua, Ajay-Joel, Steven Achilles, Julian, Xavier, and Kaynan. All of them she loved and touched deeply.

The family will receive guest Friday, February 17, 2023 from 1PM-2PM at Families First Care Chapel.
The Yolanda Garcia’s funeral service will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 2PM-4PM at Families First Care Chapel.

Scott Allen, 51, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2023.
He was born on July 11, 1971 to Michael and Anna King in Savannah, Georgia. Scott enjoyed fishing, football, and spending time with his dog, Tucker.
Scott is survived by his wife, Madgeline Allen, and his mother, Anna King.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday February 17, 2023, located at New Life Worship Center, 103 Dogwood Drive Rincon, Georgia 31326. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Effingham Memorial Gardens, 880 GA-119 S, Springfield, GA 31329.
