Print This Obituary & CondolencesAlexander Jaret Navedo, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2024 at just 24 years old.
Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss. Jaret was born on December 29, 1999 in Newark, New Jersey, to Erica Ríos and Rolando Ríos.
Jaret will be remembered for his sense of humor. He always tried to make others laugh and smile. He was loving, caring, and kind. One of his best qualities was his forgiving nature, he never held a grudge. He loved music and creating content for his multiple platforms with the ambition of being financially independent. “Someday I will be rich and buy a house.” He was a hustler, ambitious and free-spirited. He enjoyed the excitement of a new adventure. His life was cut short and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents Erica Rios-Valladares and Rolando Rios, sisters Natasha Navedo and Rebecca Rios; his younger brother Antonio Miller; aunt Wendy (Andrew) Santiago and Elizabeth (Darrell) Chisolm; and cousins Emmanuel Salvat and Joshua Salvat.
Goodbye “Tito”, now fly high with grandma.
The Funeral Service will be held at Families First Funeral Care for Alexander J. Navedo on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 1:30 PM.
The interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery.

Print This Obituary & CondolencesJames Angus Kemp (AKA Kemper), born August 31, 1961, was unexpectedly called to the Lord
on April 9, 2024 after spending a night filled with love and laughter with his family. To know him
was to love him. Jimmye had the most unselfish and generous heart of anyone we knew. He
would literally give the shirt off his back to help those less fortunate than himself. Jimmye deeply
treasured his family and friends and would do anything and everything for those he loved. Like
his father, he worked as an electrician and would delight in telling stories of his electrical
prowess. However, the pinnacle of his career was employment with B&V X-Ray, a family-owned
company. Those were what he considered to be his greatest years, filled with the requisite
pleasure of being the constant punchline in his dear uncles’ repertoire of jokes. Truly, nothing
brought him greater joy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Wesly Wilson, Sr and Sarah Elizabeth
Belvin Wilson, parents, Thomas Coleman Kemp, Sr and Joyce Elizabeth Wilson Kemp as well
as siblings Donna Elizabeth Kemp and Thomas Coleman Kemp, Jr . He was also preceded in
death by his uncles, James Wesley Wilson, Jr, Donald Alan Wilson, Thomas Clarence Walton,
his aunts, Patricia Ann Walton and Catherine Hernandez Wilson along with cousins Christy
Wilson and Cynthia Diane Breuer.
Jimmye is survived by his sisters, Penelope Lightfoot (Tommy) and Jennifer Kemp (Keith
affectionately called Keifer by Jimmye), his nephew Joshua Lightfoot (Jake) and his canine
nephews Floyd Coleman Kemp and Hank Angus Kemp, Jimmye’s name sake which made him
extremely proud. Additionally, Jimmye is survived by his uncle Bill B. Wilson and aunt Virlie
Thompson Wilson as well as numerous cousins and second cousins whom he adored.
A special note of deep appreciation for Brian Powell (Big B), a beloved friend and for Paul
Carellas who we jokingly refer to as Jimmye’s platonic life partner. He loved them more than
words could express. Also, for Terry Hinnant Davis, a very dear friend.
As a true testament to Jimmye’s loving and generous spirit, it was his desire to help improve or
save lives by organ donation for the benefit of medical research. Remembrances and memorial
service information will be provided at a later date.
