With profound love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life and legacy of Mr. Albert Allen George, Sr., who peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the age of 82.

Albert was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and businessman who lived life on his own terms. He was a strong-willed man who stood firmly by his beliefs and was never afraid to lead with conviction. He preferred a quiet, private life. Those who knew him respected his determination, his steadfast character, and his unwavering commitment to the values that guided his life. His faith, perseverance, and leadership, will continue to live on through the generations that follow.

Albert was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mr. Sam George and Mrs. Elease B. Myers, and his siblings Oliver George, Bobby George, and Cynthia George Spencer.

He leaves his loving children: Algeana George Stevenson, Chandra George, Andreia George Guthery (Isaac Guthery, Jr.), and Albert Allen George, Jr.

He was the proud grandfather of Sene’ Guthery, Simone Guthery, Chandler Stevenson, Ridge George, and Reed George, and the cherished great-grandfather of Blaze Miller, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Albert is also survived by his devoted siblings: Nathaniel George (Shirley George), Gwinnell George Davis, Catherine George Slade, Diane George Thomas, and Clara George R. Stewart (Arthur Stewart), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Albert proudly continued the legacy of the Myers George School of Cosmetology in Savannah, Georgia, formerly located on West Broad Street (now Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard). His families commitment to cosmetology education, inspired and prepared generations of aspiring professionals while making a lasting contribution to the Savannah community.

Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in the assurance of God’s promise that Albert’s earthly journey has been transformed into eternal life.

With heavy hearts, we announced the passing of our beloved Magazine, Sauls Allen who entered into eternal arrest on July 11, 2026 at age 72.

Madgeline was the heart of her family. She loved deeply, gave freely, and found her greatest joy in the people she loved most. She shared a special love with her husband, Scott Allen, who proceeded her in death, whether they were fishing together or simply enjoying each other‘s company. She was happiest by his side. Their love was one that Family and friends admired, and there is comfort in believing they are together once again.

She was a devoted mother and a proud grandmother, whose greatest blessing was her family. Her home was filled with love, laughter and open arms for everyone who walked through the door. She had a joyful spirit and love to dance, especially whenever wipeout came on her smile, laughter, and love for life, brought happiness to those around her and created memories. Her family will cherish forever.

Madgeline is survived by her loving mother Maggie Sauls; her sons, Jimmy Landon and John Landon; and her treasured grandchildren, Neal Landon, Kaylee Landon, Caleb Landon, Cassedy Landon, Camron Landon, Noel Landon and Adelyn Landon.

Madgeline leaves behind a legacy of unconditional, love, kindness, strength, and devotion to her family. while she will be deeply missed those who loved her find peace in knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life.

A Savannah native, Michelle was beloved by many family members and friends. Anyone who knew Michelle knew how big her heart truly was, she never let anyone feel left out and always made sure they felt special. She was a diehard fan of the Georgia Dawgs & loved everything pink and sparkly! She knew how to make someone feel better just by giving them a hug & telling them everything would work out. No matter what Michelle was going through she made sure her people knew how much they meant to her. Her heart and spirit were truly pure. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in all the people she met and loved in this life.

Michelle leaves behind her devoted husband Trey Ferrell; two sons, Sean Smith, Trey Feverlein; and a daughter, Tiffany Ferrell who now must navigate life without the woman who meant so much to them. She is also survived by her father Hughes Thomas (Hippy); sister, Tamera Hagg (Mark); brother, Trey Thomas; uncle, Billy Patterson; aunt, Mary Patterson; nieces, Angel Ruiz, Faith Kramer, nephew, Christopher Hagg; great niece, Amelia Kramer; great nephews, River Kramer, and Kayson Ruiz; and many other relatives, friends, coworkers, and loved ones throughout the Savannah community.

Karen “Sam” Renee Harmon (Wasson) passed away on July 8, 2026, at the age of 67.

Born on November 11, 1958, she was a lifelong resident of Savannah, Georgia, where she built a life full of laughter, friendships, and unforgettable memories. She was known for her big personality, quick wit, and unmistakable laugh that told you, “Sam’s here.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Lou Wasson and Richard Albert Wasson; her husband, Daniel Morris Harmon; and her beloved daughter, Jenny Harmon Miller.

She is survived by her loving boyfriend, Richard Newman; her daughters, Kelsey (Martin) May and Allyson Burns; her cherished grandson, Anakin Daniel May; her sisters, Rhonda (George) Corbett, Janis (Jimmy) Bryson, and Christy (Chris) Hester; her dear friends, Tammy Watson, Melanie Wu, and Jean Webster; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She spent many years working in the restaurant industry and was best known for being a bartender. She worked at the Cavalier during the filming of Something to Talk About and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. She also worked and owned a bar for a while called Sam and Harry’s, full of good food and never a dull moment. She loved meeting people, talking with customers, and being where the action was.

She was an avid reader and could finish even the longest books in a single day. She loved cooking, playing the lottery and the slot machines, and was always ready for good food, good company, and a good time. Friends and family often joked that she could somehow smell a home-cooked meal from a mile away and would happily show up just in time to eat.

She enjoyed being around people and rarely stayed home for long. Always getting out, visiting with friends, sharing stories, and making people laugh. She lived a colorful life and left lasting memories with everyone who knew her.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her outgoing spirit, and the laughter she brought wherever she went. Though she is no longer with us, the stories, smiles, and memories she created will remain with those who loved her.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center, 1328 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, Georgia 31405.

Travis Shawn Sayre, 45, of Wilmington Island, GA, formerly of Gallipolis, OH, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on July 3, 2026.

Travis was born at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV, on April 19, 1981. He was a proud 1999 graduate of River Valley High School and went on to attend Marshall University. In 2005, he followed his creative passion and graduated with a degree in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Travis was a talented artist whose creative eye captured the spirit of his community. His vibrant artwork and photography can be seen all across the Savannah area, from the custom Tikis at The Crab Shack to his beloved event photos at Pirate Fest, St. Patty’s Day, and other special Savannah and Tybee Island occasions.

Travis was known for his infectious smile, gentle kindness, and a truly loving nature that deeply impacted everyone he met.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Terry and Sharon (Bing) Sayre of Fernandina Beach, FL; his siblings, Misty Sayre (Nathan Bryant) of Kettering, OH, and Jared Sayre of Fernandina Beach, FL; and his beloved children, Maddox Shawn Sayre and Meenah Agosto. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, a close-knit circle of friends who were truly family—including Charissa Murray, and Paul and Paula Devivo—and his wonderful menagerie of pets, including his deeply cherished dog, Pikachu.

Travis was surely met at heaven’s gate by his beloved dogs, Spock, Jade, and River, tails wagging, ready to welcome him home. He will also be lovingly embraced by his grandparents, Vernon and Bertha (Hoffman) Bing, and Everett and Maxine (Mount) Sayre; his uncles, Larry Sayre and Clyde Sayre; his aunt, Cathy (Sayre) Carleton; and several dear cousins, friends, and family pets.

We struggle to find words for a loss so sudden, but hope everyone remembers him for the incredible energy and love he shared with us all. Travis was completely vivacious and boundlessly loving— he lived life at 88 miles per hour, always chasing the next adventure. He lived life in full color, leaving behind a world far brighter than he found it.

A Celebration of Life honoring Travis will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Wilmington Island Methodist Church (195 Wilmington Island Road, Savannah, GA). A casual reception will take place the following day, Sunday, July 12, 2026 at The Crab Shack (40 Estill Hammock Road, Tybee Island, GA) from 1-3pm.
